Commissioned Portraits, Portable Murals and Custom Art
Portable murals and custom paintings can be created to order. Portability gives the client the ability to relocate the mural. Instead of repainting a wall and destroying valuable art, the work is preserved and can be moved or sold as a painting.
Portraits
I will paint you a portrait that you will be totally satisfied with. It will be created for you on your choice of linen canvas or masonite board.
You and I will discuss ideas about how you want yourself or your loved ones portrayed. We will talk about your interests or the interests of the subjects to decide if a hobby, activity or a special environment should be included. The mood and tone is decided together. Clothing, setting, colors, size and anything else of importance is also discussed. A combination of photographs will be taken. If desired, your personal photographs can also be worked from. The final photograph or composite will be presented to you for approval.
If possible I would like to get a chance to know the person(s) that I am painting. After all, I will be spending a lot of time thinking about them and working with their image.
At the time of commission I require 50% deposit. Prices are determined by the number of people in the painting and how large the painting needs to be. The portrait takes approximately 2 to 6 months to complete. Paintings can sometimes be completed sooner by special request. When the portrait is complete, you and I will discuss the result. If there is any special request for changes, they will be made. The remainder of the fee is paid when the painting is delivered. It is very important to me that you are happy with the final painting.
